It's been a while

Hey there Blog. Missed ya. A lot has happened in the past two weeks. Should we update? Of course. :)

I should be in bed...but...what the heck. I'll post and we'll see how long I write before I decide to hop into my bed and sleep. Ah, sleep. It's wonderful. Anyway, here I go...

So, I went on a trip to Wisconsin for those of you who didn't know. Not only did I go to Wisconsin, I also went to Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Yeah, all in one week. Can you say crazy? But it was a lot of fun. I learned a lot from this trip and I even figured out some things I believe in. That's always a good thing, right? I also learned that I hate traveling in cars. It's horrible. I had to constantly remind myself that the destinations were going to be worthwhile. And they were. :) Mall of America and Cedar Point were both fantastic places to visit. I rode one of the biggest roller coasters in the world! Millenium Force for the win! :) It was a fantastic ride.

Anyway, to continue my discussion about my trip, it was wonderful but I was glad to come home and face reality once again. And it sure hit me pretty hard. I had to work the next night after I returned. Brutal. But I survived! yay! I love my job, and I love working with the people I work with. And another good thing about coming back is that I was able to play Badminton again. Oh how I missed the wonderful game of Badminton.

One bad thing about coming back home is that I am constantly reminded of things I don't want to think about. I won't go into detail, but it can be hard to deal with sometimes. I even had an emotional breakdown the other night because of it. But I was upset with a number of things so it was just a breakdown waiting to happen....21st Century Breakdown...good album by the way...Green Day is uber awesome. Anyway, random tangent. My bad.

I'm excited for this summer: Lagoon, Hiking, and reading. I've made some goals for myself and I hope I fulfill these goals this summer. It will take motivation and time, but I think I'll be able to pull it off. We'll see. :)

I made Oreo cheesecake tonight. Delicious stuff yo. :)

Bed time. Night.

John Allred came to my house!!!

Yeah...total surprise. I was not expecting John Allred to be on the guest list for my birthday party. It was...well, words can not describe how I felt last night. Let's just say I have amazing friends who are extremely good to me. I'm so blessed to have them in my life and support the decisions I make. I love you all so much and I'm so grateful you all are a part of my life.

Anyway, he performed in my backyard and it was the most surreal thing I've ever experienced. He wanted me to choose the songs and he apologized for putting me on the spot. Fortunately, he played all of my favorite songs even though I had a hard time thinking since I was in total shock. But he played Start Over and Golden which are my two favorite songs of his. I then told him to pick some songs he wanted to play. Sigh...it was so awesome. Melissa got the whole thing recorded and she's even making me a video of my birthday party. :)

Not only was John Allred's private concert awesome, but the day as a whole. Before the party at my house, we all attempted to hike up Donut Falls. Unfortunately, there was too much snow to hike all the way to the falls, so we decided to have a snowball fight instead. It was pretty epic. Snowball fights in the mountains = amazazing. :) After that, we all migrated to my house and ate yummy food. This included root beer floats, pizza, and chips. Yep, very good indeed.

Overall, my 19th birthday party was a success. Probably one of the best birthday parties I've ever had. Wait, it was the best birthday party I've ever had. Pretty much everyone I invited came over to my house. It's a rare occasion when everyone invited attends.

Thanks again to those who have made a difference in my life...for the better. :)

DONE!

Yep, death week is officially over. I'm through with all my finals and now I get to focus on my birthday party/birthday and my upcoming Wisconsin trip. I'm going to be gone for seven days...that is so long. I'm going to miss Utah, but hopefully I'll be distracted in Wisconsin, Minnesota, possibly Chicago, and Ohio. You think I'll be distracted? I think I will be. :)

I'm not sure how my grades will turn out. At least, for a couple of my classes. I'm really hoping I'll pass Statistics, because if I don't, that means I have to take it again or take a different math class. I really want to be done with math for a while. Like, really bad. It's my definite weakness, and I hate it. I wish I was good at math, but in order for me to be good I'd have to be tutored multiple times a day. Unfortunately, I don't have time for that. Blah.

I really like lists. I feel more organized with lists. I'm like a list whore. Well, not really. I just thought it'd be funny to put the word 'whore' on my blog. This seemed like an appropriate time. :) I'm so weird. I love it. :) Sorry if I offended anyone. Not my intention.

Well, I got an A in Badminton. That's no surprise. All you need to do to get an A is show up and participate. Hooray!

I want to take a hiking class again...actually, I don't need a class. I can just go with some people. :)

Finals suck

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I've done enough studying to last me a lifetime. Well, that was a little dramatic, but seriously I'm sick of studying. I'm so glad my stupid Stats test is tomorrow so I can get it over with. We'll just hope I actually do good on it so I am able to pass the class. Current worry: Passing Stats. Yep, it's that hard. For me, anyway.

Then after my Stats test, I need to study for my Anatomy final before I head to work at five. My Anatomy final is Thursday morning. Ugh...I have a feeling I'll be studying a lot for that tomorrow night. After work. But then after the Anatomy final...I'm DONE! Oh man, I can already taste the sweet completion of my first year of college. Hallelujah!

Then the fun begins. :)

Frosty Floats

So, today has been quite the day/adventure. Full of studying, friends, friends who bring pizza to study sessions, and badminton. Oh the wonderful sport of badminton. :) I really enjoy that game. Probably a little too much. *thinking* Nah, you can never have too much badminton. :)

Studying sucked. Like it should...but it's ok because studying Stats really helped with people who share the same class with you and can talk about the problems and discuss them. It's helpful. Unfortunately I need to do some individual Stats study time tomorrow...for how long? Who knows. Probably until I get distracted or go to my sister's soccer game.

Tonight was fun. I watched House and it was an AMAZAZING episode. Like, OMG. After badminton, I watched the end twice to make sure it happened. I like confirmation. :)

Badminton alleviates stress levels. Yep, pretty much awesome. Like usual. Anyway, tonight Brad was teaching techniques on how to hold the racquet so it's easier to smash the birdie. I really need to work on that. I'm terrible at smashing. It's quite depressing. But...I will get better :) I just need to practice, practice, practice!

Frosty floats are delicious. Just so you know. Therefore, I feel everyone should at least try one sometime in the near future. It's very important that you have one. I'm serious. It's like heaven in your mouth. It's just something about mixing ice cream and soda together that makes it irresistable. :) And I'm not even a big ice cream eater! Look at me go.

Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I'm going to be productive and study hardcore, but then I'm going to have some fun. It's all about the balance.

Exhausted...

Yeah, it's my own fault. I should have went to bed, but I was having a few discussions with certain individuals. I love when that happens. Unfortunately, they can be at the worst times.

I went to IHOP for breakfast today for Kristen's birthday. :) It was very fun! I had a really good omelette and I was able to meet Kristen's good friend Cali. Then after, Kristen and I went to her house to watch Quantum of Solace. Too bad I was dozing off through half of it. So did Kristen. It was pretty amusing. :) I then decided to go home at about three.

I'm anxious for finals. I have one tomorrow, but luckily it's going to be super easy. The tough ones are on Wednesday and Thursday. I will get through this. YES!

Oh yeah, last night I went to Nicole's house for her birthday. We had a yummy Italian dinner and then she opened presents and then me, Jessica, Nicole and her family played Apples to Apples. I love that game so much. :) I pretty much won. It was awesome. I rock at that game.

Friday, Friday, Friday. So excited. That's all.

Stupid eyes. Stay open. Please...

Bruin Bash

I haven't posted for a few days, so I decided I should probably write something. Who knows if it'll be a long or short post, though. :)

Last night was a party. At SLCC, there was a Bruin Bash for the end of semester. I arrived with Kortney and Melissa at about eight thirty and we grabbed a piece of pizza from the institute and then we made our way to see what SLCC was offering on this joyous night. We came across some people showing various reptiles. Now, I'm not one to enjoy reptiles, especially snakes, but I actually touched a few! They had this huge Boa Constrictor and it wasn't even full grown yet! Crazy stuff. Then, at nine there were fire dancers and that was amazing! Those people are definitely good at their job. After that, we headed inside to watch an improv show by Laughing Stock. I've seen this improv show before, but a couple of the people were different. It was hilarious! I laughed pretty hard. Melissa was even chosen to go up and help them with one of the skits. Good times for sure. :)

Other than the Bruin Bash, my mind has been on finals. I'm scared. Like, really scared. I shouldn't be though because all I have to do is study. Yeah...I'll start on Sunday because I want to have a good weekend. And try super hard not to think about finals. I wonder if I'm doing the right thing...

I have no idea what I'm doing tonight. It's Friday night, and I want to do something but it's hard when you have no money. Hopefully something will come up and I'll enjoy my night. :)

This turned out to be a decently long post. That is good! :)

My birthday is in 9 days. :) :) :) I tend to get excited when it comes to my birthday. I don't know why, but I feel like a little kid again. I try to hold on to that feeling.
